Solid Rock Celebrates Its Second Anniversary!

Coincidence?
Perhaps.
But how great is it that God gave Solid Rock Youth Center the address of:
316 Magnolia Drive??

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
316 Magnolia Drive.
That's where you will find us.
We just celebrated TWO YEARS!
Two years of offering music, fellowship, companionship,
sharing God, and lots of fun!

87 young souls... plus a few extra. 110 all told.

We are unable to picture anyonewithout a cell phone these days!!

Awaiting the music.

Divine Union

Christian Rap Group out of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.I have heard them twice now.. and they are THE BEST.

They are waiting for the stage.

Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; talk of all His wondrous works!

1 Chronicles 16:9 (NKJV)

A friend loves at all times....

Proverbs 17:17

Miss Debbie. Beginning the program. She is LEADER, TEACHER, ADVISOR,

and FRIEND. Where ever she is called, she goes.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.

Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Psalm 42:5-6

The Rap Music was exhilerating... but next came the melodious voices from the

First Baptist Church, Wiggins, Mississippi. Instrumentals were perfect.

Voices in tune. And I know God was so happy to hear the sounds wafting up to him.

The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang. "He is good; his love endures forever." Then the temple of the LORD was filled with a cloud,"

2 Chronicles 13.

pick up your Bible and read more to see what happens.

But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Excerpt from The Touch of the Master's Hand

by Myra Brooks Welch and Bob Kelly

'Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer

Thought it scarcely worth his while

To waste much time on the old violin,

But held it up with a smile.

"What am I bidden, good folks?" he cried,

"Who'll start the bidding for me?"

"A dollar, a dollar"; then, "Two! Only two?

Two dollars, and who'll make it three?

Three dollars, once; three dollars twice;

Going for three—" But no,

From the room, far back, a gray-haired man

Came forward and picked up the bow;

Then, wiping the dust from the old violin,

And tightening the loose strings,

He played a melody pure and sweet

As a caroling angel sings.

The music ceased, and the auctioneer,

With a voice that was quiet and low,

Said, "What am I bid for the old violin?"

And he held it up with the bow.

"A thousand dollars, and who'll make it two?

Two thousand! And who'll make it three?

Three thousand, once; three thousand, twice,

And going, and gone," said he.

The people cheered, but some of them cried,

"We do not quite understand

What changed its worth." Swift came the reply:

"The touch of a master's hand."

Total Redemption at Solid Rock Youth Center!

The band Total Redemption blessed the stage of Solid Rock Youth Center this Saturday night. The large group of young people in attendance, greatly enjoyed the beautiful voices singing God's praises.

Band members include Brooke Williams, vocals; Gabby Nelson, piano; Kenny Veazey, vocals and guitar; with Tim Burton on the drums.

Talent was in abundance, as the Word of God was offered in music, the reading of Scripture, and the sharing of different interpretations of the blessings bestowed upon us!

Robin Swords gave a fantastic message, while the large group listened...

The invitation was very moving, as those hungry for more, were helped by their fellow friends... the band played quietly as several tears were shed, hugs were shared... and many smiles blossomed at the end of the evening.
God brings friends together every Saturday night at this fantastic gathering.

Come join us!

Jesus Is Lord!!!!!

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
