Praising God in Blaylock Park

God.

He was here.

He is everywhere. If only we would listen....

Young musicians. Sharing their talent.

And everyone was listening in Blaylock Park!

Christians... sharing God's word.

All ages... sharing life... sharing God.

e
Some times things look completely sharp...

When we are missing what we should really be seeing. The Musician.

And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.

1 Chronicles 15:16

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Matthew 28:19-20
There is a fine group of leaders at Solid Rock... who give readily....

But this I say, he which soweth sparingly shall reap also spraringly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
Psalm 126:2-3

Mr. Kurt, spreading the word...
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
John 14:6
It just can't be said any simpler...

Nothing on earth can smile but people!
Gems may flash reflected light,
But what is a diamond-flash
When compared to an eye-flash and a mirth-flash?

Flowers cannot smile;
Smiling is a charm that even they cannot claim.
Smiling is the prerogative of people.
It is the color which love wears,
And cheerfulness, and joy -- these three.

A smile is the light in the windows of the face,
By which the heart signifies it is at home and waiting.
A face that can't smile is like a bud that can't blossom,
And dries up on the stalk.

Laughter is day. Sobriety is night. A smile is twilight.
It hovers gently between both --
More bewitching than either.
"A smile" by Henry Ward Beecher

We greatly enjoyed the praise-filled voices of the wonderful group from Vardaman Street Baptist Church.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
Psalm 98:4

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1 KJV
Glory and honor are in His presence; strength and gladness are in His place. Give unto the Lord, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name: bring an offering, and come before Him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
1 Chronicles 16:27-29

Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at His footstool; for He is holy.
Psalm 99:5
Divine Union is a truly blessed group of young people from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I have had the privilege of listening to them on numerous occasions. Follow them on facebook... and also hear some of their great music... you will love them! Also, check out: their blog.
Sharing their faith with their God-given talent!

Nothing Short of Everything!!

The house rocked when Nothing Short of Everything hit the stage Saturday, May 14th!
What a way to Praise the Lord!

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;"
1 Peter 2:9

My meditation of Him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.
Psalm 104: 34

"Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,
always giving thanks to God the Father for everything,
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Ephesians 5:19 (NIV)

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, that my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever ... Psalm 30:11-12.

"All the people went up after him, and the people were playing on flutes and rejoicing with great joy, so that the earth shook at their noise."

1 Kings 1:40 NASB

"In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.
So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with
as much faith as God has given you."
Romans 12:6 (NLT)

"I assure you, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life."
John 5:24 NLT

Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.
Psalm 43:3
The performance was excellent. One to remember.

"And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. . ." Hebrews 10:24, NJKV.
